Out of the blue...and I haven't even tried to claim!!

Hi all,
Thought you might find this as curious as I did...

I closed my LTSB account about a year ago and thoght nothing more of it. I haven't been going through the reclaiming bank charges process because I didn't think I had any to claim but I have been watching the sucesses etc here because my DH has been claiming. Anyhow, thats beside the point.

I received, out of the blue last week, a letter from LTSB saying:

We owe you money and an apology...so here are both. They have sent me a cheque for about £24 in settlement including interest, of the 1 bank charge I must have incurred with them over the last 6 years.

I'm gobsmacked....which doesn't happen often!

There's something LTSB are doing where they are refunding money due to a small error a few years back. Could be this?
