Family movie bag - with a dvd, some corn to pop and some popcorn tubs?
People seem not to see that their opinion of the world is also a confession of character.

  • I would go with the family movie night hamper, a family dvd, popcorn, some chocolates or sweets & maybe a bottle of pop? I make these up for several couples or families each year, they always go down really well & i spend less than £10 on each one. With a box wrapped in paper, a bit of shredded tissue & cellophane you can make them look really special! hth

Im lazy so Id stick with the tins of sweets , theyre only about £4 or £5 quid a tin. Most people LOVE getting tins of sweets at xmas, it wouldnt be xmas without a tin of sweets and when you share one tin between 2 grown ups and a couple of kids theyre gone in an evening so its not as if theyre eating a whole tin for themselves night after night for weeks.
  • Bit over budget at £10 (on Argos), but how about an Addictaball? Great fun for all the family.

In terms of games, I'd suggest Uno (2 is a bit young but catering for this age probably rules several more aware older members of the family out), Headbands or Apples to Apples (which I suspect is too pricey.)
