New Laptop!!!!!!

Hi Folks

I'm after a new Laptop and would like to rack the community brains for the best deal?

Most Bells & Whistles for the best money (Cheapish) with min 1GBram and Min100Gb hard drive etc.

£500-600 UK price.

Any help appreciated.

Yes, I said this in another post earlier - but keep your eye on supermarkets like Tesco for deals on Acer laptops.

Also, for sub-600, you can definately get a Core 2 Duo E6300 processor with at least 1Gb of memory in your laptop. Don't aim lower than a Core2Duo chip tho (i.e. Avoid Celeron) as the performance hit will be noticable.

Acer definately do a bunch of budget laptops - but BEWARE.... their support sucks really badly. If your laptop goes wrong 1 second over the 14 day mark - you're looking at around 14 day turnaround to repair it, and a whole bunch of lies along the way. (it does get repaired however!)

refurbs on the dixons chain websites £369.99,,,, use a £10 code and dixons or £20 code at currys.

go thru quidco and get 3.5% and used my egg card for another 7% off.

they also have Norton 360 at half price.... £30 for a 3 user pack.
