    Just create a new account.
  • It's a shame we can't name change. There are people who know my user name irl who I'd prefer didn't and also it's easy to guess that it's me if you know me irl, but I don't want to start a new account because I kind of like that I've been here since June 2006 (the month my son was born:j). I don't really want to start again with a 'newbie' account because that wouldn't be accurate.

I'm on Mumsnet and you can name change on there as often as you like. Some people do this regularly for anonymity. I've stuck with my user name on there for a few years but have been known to do a Christmas or Halloween name-change, which is all part of the fun of that community :).

I don't see the issue with name-changing, unless it's ultra difficult to set up on the site of course, but I doubt it is.

You really should not be posting information on here that you would be uncomfortable with other people knowing. Remember anything posted is going to be searchable on the internet forever.

Which is why a name-change facility would be a good idea, no?
