Dixons/Lombard Tricity Finance PPI underwriter?

I purchased a computer in 1996 from Dixons and took out credit to purchase it (seemed to be with Lombard Tricity Finance Limited).
I am in the process of making a claim for mis-sold PPI. Does have any idea who the PPI insurance underwriter would have been back in 1996? The loan seemed to pass to First National Tricity Finance Ltd.
The loan was active till about 2005 so I am hoping that I can still claim on it. I've got a claim in with the Financial Ombudsman and they cannot proceed until I can provide the underwriter.
Any help would be appreciated!
