Contents insurance on a listed Building?

Options
I rent a flat which is in a listed building. I need to have contents insurance as a minimum and in the past have always had Landlord's fixtures and fittings insurance also (this covers things like the kitchen cupboards, radiator covers etc).

Being in a listed building automatically disqualifies me from most insurance online quotes. Can anyone recommend a company to try? I don't mind phoning for quotes, but with no landline and not much spare time, I don't want to keep trawling through phonecalls to companies that automatically won't touch a listed building (even though my insurance doesn't need to cover anything "listed" just my own cheap junk and my landlord's curtain rails etc!)

Many contents policies will cover you.

Most mainstream companies won't care that the building is listed if you are just insuring contents.

Most contents policies will include "tenants liability" to cover damage to fixtures and fittings.

I can't understand why you are having problems getting quotes online due to a listed building for contents cover.

Maybe try a few quotes with unlisted status and ring competitive companies to explain the details.
