It'll be ok - all they are is a set of rollers and a heater, so there's no need for them to be much more than that to be honest. You could also look in Maplin who have an A3 one for under £20 just now, A3 is sometimes handy.0

If it says it's an A4 laminator for example does it mean it does all sizes up to A4 ?0

Yep.

Home Bargains have a Texet A4 laminator with some pouches at £9.99. I bought one and it seems no worse than the £15 I bought, lent, and never got back.

Things to watch out for are the max size if pouch thickness they can laminate. The non budget ones take thicker (and more hard wearing pouches). They can also heat up faster, my cheap one took 15 mins or more! Look out for a max micron pouch thickness. The cheaper the product the lower thickness of laminations (paper only, not card).0

Mine is a Texet - don't think I paid any more than £10/12 but it's still going strong after 3 years or more.
But then I only laminate a couple of things a month.I'm dreaming of a white Christmas.
But, if the white runs out, I'll drink the red.0 -
You can laminate perfectly well with a medium clothes iron, which you probably already have.A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0

Another vote for the clothes iron. I wanted to do some small stuff so I bought the pouches, inserted the paper and covered them with greaseproof paper and the hot iron did the rest.0

That's a proper money saving idea
