Praise for Costa Coffee Staff

Yesterday i went into 2 local Costas looking to buy cups for a relative who is Costa mad.

The first store didn't have the size i was looking for, only the large and Espresso sizes but they bent over backwards trying to help me. The manager wasn't in at that time, they offered to get him to call me back, they were lovely.

The second store i went in to had the cups, but no saucers. The manager sold me the cups i was looking for at a reduced price as the saucers weren't available. I didn't really want saucers anyway !

It's rare to come across such helpful staff these days, especially on a busy Saturday afternoon.

I've always found Costa staff to be excellent, whether in a little hospital franchise, south wales or north yorkshire.

Also, their gingerbread lattes are awesome!

I love a trip to Costa with my little ones, our regular one gives my 18 month old a little cup with some squinty cream in it, free! They'll bend over backwards to help when I go in with the pram as well, can't fault them

Likewise I generally find the Costa staff to be pleasant.
I also like Costa the best of the coffee chains.

Ditto re the Gingerbread Lattes ! I bought some of the syrup yesterday whilst i was there ! They do a Xmas gift set with 5 different syrups in.

I would expect them to make themselves busy to help you with the amount of caffeine they must have in their systems.

I've always had good experiences at Costa bar one. Which was the Costa in my local Tesco. Rude service, she was on her phone as I was waiting and then had to be told my drink's been sitting there can I have it please?

Well I have to admit that Costa in my area isn't as good as others. It is a new shop and the tables are often left unwiped. Last week a dog, not an assistance dog, was in the shop, albeit in someone's handbag. One of the assistants sat chatting to a friend at the opposite table and didn't say anything, nor did she wipe the tables.

Unfortunately, on that particular retail park, there isn't really anywhere else you can get coffee and cake.

Also last week, in the Costa within our local hospital, I was completely ignored by the only member of staff on duty. She was too busy chatting to a member of the hospital staff, who already had her coffee, to serve me. I had intended to get a coffee for myself and a soft drink for my son, but we ended up in the WH Smith concession to buy a Fruit Shoot for him. I did without.

In case anyone is wondering, I did ring Costa's head office to point out the problems.

if the costa in our local tesco gets any slower i'd be quicker making the drinks myself. If you've got hours to spare definately visit one, takes at least half an hour to get food and drink even when its not busy
