  • I went to Alnwick Garden last summer whilst staying in Alnwick. I couldn't find any discounts on the internet beforehand and none from the local tourist info office. The food was expensive so take your own picnic if that bothers you or walk into the town for some cheaper options.

I also went on a good open-topped bus tour around Alnwick and the surrounding countryside which told you about the history etc. The bus stop was just outside the gardens.

i haven't been there since last year, but from what i can remember they take teso vouchers, if you have any, or if you live near enough to come again, the friends pass at £20 is much better value. I just wish i lived near enough!

and if you are taking kids, or just fancy getting interative with the fountains yourself, take waterproof clothes!!! :j

They take Tesco vouchers at Alnwick Castle but not at Alnwick Garden.

Also in Alnwick go to Barter Books, one of the biggest second-hand bookshops in the country.

We went at Easter and could not find any vouchers, think kids go free.
  • As far as tesco vouchers I am not sure, but it worth while getting a pass for yourself and a plus one. This will last a year...and I'm sure you will visit again! You cannot enter the castle on a gardens pass though (and visa versa) so if you wish to see both, it can work out a little more costly. With a day pass this covers the treehouse so you will not have to pay a seperate fee.
Aswell as the open top bus there is also a road train, which will take you from the gardens and into and around Alnwick.
Hope you have a lovely day...I'm sure you will!
