A Dell engineer replaced my pc motherboard, memory, fan etc this morning whereupon my Logitech mouse wouldn't work. I wouldn't let him leave until it did as it was working fine up until he rang the doorbell.
PC is now saying that I cannot use standby due to a driver error on my cordless mouse. I have no idea which model the mouse is as it's not marked and I've chucked the packaging.
How can I find out please? I always leave the laptop on standby during the day to prevent overheating.
It's a model where you can turn it on and off via a tiny button on the base to save battery power. grey and black. only light that comes on is on the base. laser mouse. not a gaming mouse. central scroll wheel and right and left buttons.
many thanks.

Thank you Charlie. Looks like the V450 but I don't have a light on the top.
Laptop did go to standby, but keeps giving me an error message that it can't because of the mouse. Dell engineer very rude about cordless mice (?!).
Can changing a motherboard create teething trouble with peripherals?0 -
Normally problems can occur it is usually due to ports changeing configuration etc, why you reconnect the hardware again it should see the new hardware and reinstall any drivers required.0

I think the same Logitech driver works for all Logitech mice. It was called Logitech MouseWare back when I had some Logitech pointing devices, and it would work with all devices of the brand (and even non Logitech ones
).
