Job Seekers Allowance

I have just finished my contract and am in the process of looking for another job. My husband works full time with a salary of around 20k. We get child tax credit and family allowance, but now I have no wages coming in, it is going to be difficult to make ends meet. Does anybody know if i would be able to claim JSA or ay other credits??
Thanks
Heather

If you have paid sufficient National Insurance contributions you will be able to claim Contribution based JSA, you would need to put a claim in to see. In any case you can sign on to receive Natioanl Insurance credits in order to keep your record up to date. You would not be able to claim Income based JSA because of your husbands earnings.0
