Just got the annual statement and we have used 14,850 kWh over the year There is only 2 of us, there has got to be something wrong hasn't there :eek:

I've never paid attention to my usage (just the figure on the bill ) so can't comment on whether it's exceptionally high or not.

In your position I would invest in an energy monitor, pronto, so you can track what's eating up your power (likely to be anything that generates heat). Some public libraries loan these out foc.

Or more accurately - it depends.
15MWh would not be a silly figure for a house heated electrically, in some cases.
Are the readings based on figures taken by the meter reader - or is it estimated?
Have you checked your current meter reading, and seen if it tallies with the expected read on this date?

It is a correct meter reading, we are using about £40 per month

If thats the case you should be paying around £180 per month.

So do you use Electric Heating or not?. This has been asked a couple of times as its extremely relevant to your question!!
