LTSB Card fraud

Hi, just looking for a bit of advice.

Was using my credit card for transactions which were fine and thought nothing of it. Whilst checking my online statement four days later I noticed cashpoint withdrawls from the card from the day after I had used it. I then realised my car wasn't where I though I had left it.

Called the bank got the card reported as lost & disputed the transactions as I never used the card on this day (only thing I can think of is that someone has seen the pin and used it the following day). The bank have sent a letter basically saying the transactions are similar to those that I do and they won't be paying out. However, it wasn't myself who withdrew the money so why should I be left out of pocket when I am supposed to have a fraud guarantee with the bank?

Any advice on where to go from here?

Thanks :)

Who had access to your car keys and PIN number?

    Young adult in the household?
why should I be left out of pocket when I am supposed to have a fraud guarantee with the bank?

    Negligence?

Was the card in the car?

Have you made ATM transactions on your credit card before?

The bank will know whether the correct PIN was entered for the ATM withdrawals and whether there were any attempts to get it right.

If there weren't and the PIN was available with the card, seeing as you didn't report the card missing for 4 days, they will hold you liable.

(Opinions4u, don't think the OP meant "car", think they meant "card")

So who might have seen you enter the PIN and then taken the card later on?
Who were you with that day?
Can you remember where you last had the card?
Is the ATM near where you live?
PIN related to DOB or phone No, that someone you know might guess.
Have you reported to the police? Which you should have given something has been stolen from where ever you left the card.

write a letter of complaint to lloyds tsb
they will have a look at the case to see it
report it to the police also if you discovering money go missing from your card
Ask lloyds to review the transations
copy your statement and write down your transations (which one you and which one is fraud).
If you have card insurance you can ring up the provider and tell them (copy of your statement and other edvicence too.
    I hope this info helps.

Anyone in the shop where I last used the card could have seen me entering my PIN, it was busy.

I was with a large group of friends however I cannot go accusing people and would have expected the bank to investigate this for me e.g. looking at cctv.

The ATM is about 15 miles away, I haven't reported to police as I thought the bank was sufficient as they would investigate, but obviously not!

Do you not shield your PIN when entering?
Do you not stand so close to the terminal that no one can see you enter the number?

If someone stole your card at that point. They would go and use it straight away. And try again every day till it is retained or declined.
Most people report their card lost straight away. Not 4 days later. A delay in reporting a loss, can be a reason for declining a claim.

You do not have to accuse. Tell them what has happend to you, and say that the police are looking at CCTV.... You might see a few scared faces then.

Banks investigate the systems they have avaiable. A bank has no right to request or view CCTV from anyone else other than their own branches.

Anyone you know live around that area or go through it on the way home?
I'm surprised that given your card was stolen, that you were not asked too (something we do) report to the police. As clearly something has been taken of yours.
Unless you do all you can to assist the bank. Then FOS will odd's on reject your claim.
Police are the only people who can request CCTV in reality.

Notice you missed out the important bit and just blame the bank....

So just where do you think the card was left?
