Bathroom fittings?

Options
Hi there,

Basically renovating the entire home bit by bit, starting with the bathroom. Got an excellent bathroom and kitchen builder who I used for my mums home, and will be using him, keeps fair costs.

I just am in need though, of a retailer for bathroom fittings, in particular picking my shower/enclosures/taps/basins, I'll most probably be responsible (my choice, so I get what I want, fairly ultra modern etc)... for getting the above, upon his recommendations in terms of compatibility etc.

Just wondering though, which retailer online I am assuming, as cheaper, to grab my bathroom fittings from? - Any recommendations??

Over the next year will probably have a thread here showing the complete renovation.

Thanks in advance :)

Find what you want first and then think about how much its going to cost as a secondary process. Then compromise. If you go for cheap first thats what you'll get and you won't be satisfied. If you want cheap Chinese tat and p*ss poor after sales support by all means go for an internet shopfront. Why aren't you relying on this excellent chap's recommendations for both kit and supplier? Don't you trust him?

    Cheers

    Hi,

Not at all, I trust him very much so, don't really look for cheap tat either, just wondered what retailers online who tend to beat the usual retailers, such as screwfix, B&Q etc... That was all? Know exactly what I want.

Just haven't spoke to him specifically about my bathroom yet, and last time when he did my mum's kitchen, was done with Howden's choice of products. All I wanted was a rough idea or any light to be shone on any good online retailers?

Would appreciate if you did know any.

    Thanks again.

Who does your builer have accounts with....ie he will probably have a trade account with bathroom suppliers in the same way that he ha has an account at howdens that you used for the kitchen.

we have just refitted and used a trade company that our builder suggested,as they were the company he was able to get a substantial discount with and pass back some of the saving to us too.
