Insurance company want £10 to check

Over the last couple weeks you may have seen BBC'S Watchdog programme about Critical Illness plans.
I have asked Scottish Provident to send me details on what we filled in back in 2004.
They want £10 to do the work.
Yet Legal & General asked for nothing.I may consider leaving and getting another quote but as we are a tadd older,we may have to pay more.In anycase SP may want more once we review the forms.

They are allowed to charge for a data enquiry.
Dont be over paranoid about the watchdog article. It was reported in the financial press that the figures used in the programme were presented inaccurately and gave a misleading position.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
