Hi guys
I have a H&B 6500 Home Theatre system which plays pretty much everything I want.
Just had the living room redecorated so set it back up again and noticed that it is not playing any sound (except hissing) out of one of the rear speakers.
I got my bro in law to have a quick look and he tested all the speakers / wires with different connections and they all work fine but for some reason it's not outputting anything other than hissing out of one of the rears.
The system has a built in amp so he said it could be something to do with that.
Anyone throw any light on the situation for me and/or recommend someone near Heathrow to take it for examination.
Cheers

ps - I rang H&B and had to call their French office who said they no longer have a UK branch and that he would try and find out some contact details for me but heard nothing yet.

If your setup has any other outputs than the speakers, try testing output through them (such as Digital out / headphones etc). Could also try doing a factory reset of all settings on the amp in case you've set some test mode or something. There is usually a reset mechanism. Also check cabling between the amp and the source. Don't assume they are working just because they were before - borrow some cables to change them out to eliminate it as a possibility.Throwing acid is bad.... in some peoples eyes...0

Hi m8
Thanks for the reply - sorry I should have said it has a built in amp.
I have already done the reset to factory for the player which I presume would include the amp as like I said it's built in.
Any further advice (please)
Cheers
