Worth pointing out if people are unaware or forgotten, it's worth writing to the Taxman asking for your uniform tax rebate :) I've just drafted my letter and am about to send off shortly. They can repay upto the past 4 years, sometimes more so it's always worth a try for a few extra quid :)

Just thought I'd quickly report in.

It's been quite a slow start - although that's mostly because I've fallen out of love with ebay and haven't listed anything lately. Sold a couple of items on Gumtree and made £40 (with no fees :j).

Got a couple of product trials lined up - 2 paid, one not but free products.

I've also sorted out my tax code after giving up my company car so that should bring in a bit more every month.

Must start doing surveys again - found out I'm only £1 off a payment for one site so that should bump up January's total at least.
  • £46.59 from TWIW, and I am awaiting payment from SB via Paypal too.
  • Hi guys,

I've had a really slow start to the month, gonna start listing some items on eBay, also gonna do a clothes for cash bag as I have alot of old stuff that wouldn't sell on its own. Now could someone please enlighten me about swag bucks? I want to join but what is involved? I also brought some bargain cat food in Tesco which was misprinted at 32p per box so will add the saving from that to my account! Also I can't post the link as on my mobile just now but have you guys seen the toiletries challenge? I have started listing on mine and was shocked at how much I have , I won't be buying any for long while hence saving myself more :)

    Good luck everyone :)

Hi amberfinn53! I'm on the toiletries challenge too! I noticed some people are putting money into a jar for each item they've used up, so me and my partner are planning on putting 50p into our jar for each item. Once the supply has gone/jar is full i'll add that onto my total :) Every little helps! How many items did you have? I had 151, but it's gone up a little since the boots sale this morning lol!

As for swagbucks, i recently signed up and cannot understand it! You need alot of points to get £5 in vouchers, and you get 4 points for doing a long survery. I think i worked out you needed to do about 2 days worth of surveys to get £5, so it's down to you if you think it's worth it. I'd steer clear of Toluna, i found halfway through a survey it'd be filled and you've wasted 15minutes for nothing :( Good luck with making a bit of extra cash :)
  • Have made another £6 on ebay and just spent the afternoon listing a few books on amazon. :)

That's a great start tdale78. Unforunalty I have still to get off the starting block! However I have listed items on eBay, been trying to sell items on Facebook, but with no luck, and have put babysitting adverts around. Tonight I'm going to list more items on eBay, sign up to some survey sites and draft an email to send to my boss to ask for extra hours. All a step in the right direction I guess, just want to see the results now.

I think you're doing great. The first steps of additional earning are the hardest in my opinion. I have no opportunity for overtime but honestly I think I would be too much of a wimp to ask for it if I could! I'm also too much of a wimp to chase up baby sitting (kids scare me ha ha) so I think you are doing better than me. : )

I have ordered £25 from harris poll. I have hit £10 payout from maximiles and I'm very close to other payout limits. I'm also doing a product trial (paid) at the moment as well. Last month I had 4 different paid product trails! That was amazing!
  • wow tdale 78 that's great, I'm still listing on ebay and facebook locally as I slowly de-clutter, hope to have a nice amount by the end of the month then starting a mini project to try and earn me some money!!!
