If it was a DD, call your bank and ask for a full and immediate refund under the DD guarantee. Then cancel the DD with your bank.
Then find a few quid for buying a new keyboard with working 'Shift' and apostrophe keys.
Beware that bank can charge you again later if they (with Paypal) find you responsible for this transaction.0 -

Did they guess your debit card number?
Who that has access to your computer or smartphone and have made a purchase recently?
Did you default on eBay fees?
When you log in to your Paypal account, what does it say?0 -
Yes you have given them a mandate, so they will be able to claim irrespective of your card changing. Only if you claim there's fraudulent activity will it be blocked.
Do also remember if you default on their demands, your credit file is at risk.0 -

they took the last money out through my debit card which is linked to paypal so i phone bank and cancelled card and am awiting a new one...
Bad idea, if Paypal attempt to take money and fail, your Paypal balance will become negative and you'll get snotty emails from Paypal stating that you must rectify the situation immediately. If you don't, they'll add administrative charges. If they attempt a DD and it bounces, you might be charged for that.0 -

RIght....
In what way do you not owe this money.
Give us the full story.....
Bit unfair to all the Irish, Foreign..
If someone has compromised your account (phishing email) then PP are very good at dealing with this and getting you refunded in around 10 day.
If its some other reason. Then you need to fully explain.Never ASSUME anything its makes a>>> A55 of U & ME <<<0 -
As above, there is obviously more to the story and your recent dealings with PayPal; before you can get the advice you need, you will need to expand on it.
EDIT: re-reading the OP, it doesn't come across that they are particularly concerned about the apparent 'loss' of £120 - they don't once ask how/if they can get it back. Nor do they seem concerned about how it has come about that PayPal could want to take it from them. They also expect PayPal to attempt to take another payment. Everything is only about stopping more payments being taken, and not a word to the issue which brought it about.
Without further information, it seems like someone is trying to get out of money they owe to PayPal; or at least bend the timescale for paying it without bothering to contact the company they have an agreement with.Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.- Mark TwainArguing with idiots is like playing chess with a pigeon: no matter how good you are at chess, its just going to knock over the pieces and strut around like its victorious.0 -
Another vague thread. Why would PP randomly 'take' £120?
If you want advice at least explain what on earth you're on about.0
