Hi I took out a home insurance policy early this year, I also paid for the extra Home Emergency Policy, believing I would be covered Last night -5c the house suddenly plunged into darkness, boiler and all the sockets, the house lights still worked, but obviously the table amps we had on all failed. Consider yourself lucky. In fact, SW uses BG team - and in my case of a water leak call, they were less than useless.
