Just found a piece of paper in my sons room (wasnt snooping!:o ) with a note of how much money is in his piggy bank, and his "10 Money Raisers"
1. Do the recycling every day (he gets pocket money if he does this)
2. Save it up
3. Take drinks out from home.
4. Take sweets out from home.
5. Dont spend much.
6. Dont take money out with you.
7. Dont mess with your money (not sure what this is all about)
8. Sell stuff you dont need.
9. Dont make bets.
10. Be cheap.
I laughed when I read it, but actually, it makes MSE sense!

Start them young:D
DO you know if he's saving up for a particular item or if this is a new, improved way of life?"This is a forum - not a support group. We do not "owe" anyone unconditional acceptance of their opinions."0 -
He's saving up for a new skateboard. I dont think I'll tell him he's got a couple of hundred quid in his savings account...... :rotfl:
We usually match his savings when he has something in mind, so he needs to save 20 quid for a 40 quid board.Threadhead0 -
My little lad is 2.5
when shopping in tesco he always picks up the value stuff.
"It's cheaper mummy. get this"
I pick up something like ben and Jerrys..."It's not cheaper mummy"
