GLITCH TOO M&S now half price chilled hampers + extra 25% original price off

I checked just before my post and the cheese on was still showing 75% off when you went through so obviously weren't all fixed before post 55.

it was still showing as 75% off after post 55, BUT I tried at about that point and got all the way through to the last 'confirm order' page and at that point the price jumped back up to £56 (I think it was).

So it looked like it was working when it wasn't If only I had been 15 minutes earlier.... hey ho! worth a shot... thanks to OP!

Definitely wouldn't have been worth full price in my opinion but a bargain at £31.25. The basket itself looks really nice.

A great glitch but I have to say, not sure being funny with someone for ringing is necessary. Those that buy 40 of something on a glitch to sell on ruin it for others, those who ring (presumably to ensure their account or card wouldn't end up being charged more) are being careful with their money which is what MSE is about.

This glitch was posted everywhere so they were bound to find out pretty soon.

Just cancelled my Festive Indulgence hamper.

Kind of got caught up in the rush to 'grabit' Don't like Christmas cake pudding so not for us.

Kept the cheeseboard one.

Who dreams up their original prices ? Even at half price they are a bit of a joke.

Well as Bongoali says, the original prices are a joke!
I had a quick tot up of the half price hampers by adding up individual items in each hamper. Where I couldn't find the item I used Waitrose equivalent

Cheese hamper
Original price £75.00
Items priced separately £38.00
Glitch price £18.75

Festive Indulgence hamper
Original price £125.00
Items priced separately £65.00
Glitch price £31.25

Inspirational Christmas hamper
Original hamper £350.00
Items priced separately £155.00
Glitch price £87.50

So you see, the original prices are pie in the sky!
If you managed to get them at the glitch price you did get a half price hamper.
I really do think that this yearly M & S "glitch" is a marketing ploy. It gets the hampers great publicity.
Well done to anyone who bagged one but it pays to investigate offers before getting carried away!

Years of shopping had simply taught me not to look at RRP set by the retailer, but the price I am willing to pay.

I bought 3 indulgence hampers, 1 for parents, 1 for me n 1 for my lovely neighbour who always accept delivery n watch over my house. The hamper glitch did solve a lot of " what to buy" dilemma , as they are still of the generation whereby they still think that any product from good old marksy is the epitome of finesse. So for me , this hamper glitch is fab.

Just in case anybody else has had the 'order on hold' e-mail asking for you to change the payment details, but no 'change' button to do so, it was a hiccup on their system which seems to have resolved itself.
I was quietly thinking "here we go, they're cancelling by stealth" - but no, just me being suspicious as the nice girl on the phone has had a string of similar calls this morning.

Added: check up though - I rang because I couldn't change the payment as the button was not there. If the button is showing, then there is a problem iyswim.
