My mother was a farm secretary before she had me so I do understand the farming process!
You didn't mention prices in your first post. I go to the farm shop in breaston for mine.If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.0 -
No, you're right, asking about prices was in the post that ICT Engineer replied to though.0

Mr. M today I got a sack for £6.85, I just hope they are not all little ones like the last one I got, as we don't have a local market anymore.

Prices have shot up here, even at the farm shops.
A 25kg bag of Maris piper is £9.50 as of today-but they are the best and we wanted good roasties over christmas lol. That was the most expensive bag though. Could have had a bag of more general white spuds for about £5 and other varieties in between. Last year we could get bags of spuds for between £3 and £6, so a big price difference. Given the harvest problems can't see it getting better. I am considering getting a second bag perhaps the cheaper type, after crimbo and having a mass cookup so I can freeze pots of mash and bags of homemade wedges/chips before the prices get even higher.
Cheaper I could see Maris piper in the shops was Aldi who are selling 1.5kg bags for 69p at the mo making them around £11.50 for 25kg.

I think Tesco Value whites are 99p for 2.5kg so equal to £9.90 for a full sack0

We haven't had any Tesco value potatoes available since the re-branding to Everyday Value, cheapest we can get is Tesco brand 5kg for £3.
We shop online once a month with Tesco and not been a smooth changeover at the store that picks the orders it seems, value food bags only been available once and the corned beef appears/disappears regularly.0 -
