John lewis kitchen dupes

Hi all, we're looking for a new kitchen and liked the John Lewis Windsor from their classic collection. I found out that mereway also do the same range, and speaking to them just now, they mentioned that the range is around 20k for a complete kitchen  We're having a kitchen extension too so our kitchen will be quite big
Just thinking if this range is 20k with mereway how much would it be with John Lewis!
Also been looking at Wickes Heritage Bone which is also in-frame and someone has suggested that Benchmarx may do the same range cheaper.
So does anyone know of any other companies that do these 2 range (John Lewis Windsor and Wickes Heritage Bone) cheaper, and is there a big difference in quality?

Wickes Heritage Bone is Benchmarx Dovedale I believe.0

Thanks - I did have a look at Benchmarx but they have the heritage grey equivalent which is Borrowdale, but not sure if they do this in bone as well (would then be Heritage Bone, the one Im interested in)..
I have read that Borrowdale is more than 50% cheaper than the Wickes counterpart, almost tempts me to go for the grey, if they don't do it in cream/bone..We got rid of the kids. The cat was allergic.

Yeah, I thought the Borrowdale was the bone colour then realised it's just the grey. Have a look at Dovedale, that might be it!
We went for a Benchmarx kitchen as it was a lot cheaper than Wickes plus there's a long waiting time (bout 4-6 weeks) for Wickes delivery, but was only a week for Benchmarx.
I had my eye on the Eden range at Benchmarx but it was a little out of my small budget, settled for the Tuscon in the end.0 -
Magnet do a cream / ivory framed kitchen. Expensive via Magnet Retail, but can be bought via Magnet Trade at half the price.Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.0

Thanks - have just had another look at the Benchmarx brochure and and Dovedale is heritage bone, even the pics are the same. My eyes must be getting old..
Thats a stroke of luck, do you know if Benchmarx do a jan sale or if their prices remain steady?
I still also like the John Lewis kitchen a lot but was told by mereway that that range goes for 20k for a complete kitchen which is a bit eye watering. I do prefer that range but unless I can find it cheaper I may settle for the Benchmarx dovedale..
Thanks Phil I had a look at magnet kitchens just now but JL/Wickes 2 ranges are still my fave for now..We got rid of the kids. The cat was allergic.

Melanie - did you buy through someone you know in the trade or were you able to go in and buy as if it was a retail showroom? Did you make appts or just order what you wanted - as it says on their site they are trade only..We got rid of the kids. The cat was allergic.

Wickes winter sale starts 21st December, when you might well find they are cheaper than the B-word. Also it should be said that delivery is normally 4 weeks maximum, not 4-6 weeks. Personally have sold plenty of kitchens that have been delivered inside 2 weeks and a couple of times inside a week, but 4 weeks is the party line...
Wait until after the 21st december and then compare the Wickes and Benchmarx prices. We are in a price establishment period until then, and anyone who pays those prices should be taken away by the men in white coats!:p
Different story after that though...0 -
have a look at national kitchens for mereway0

No, it wont be half the price. No where near half in fact. 10-15% through a builder at most...If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we have at least to consider the possibility that we have a small aquatic bird of the family anatidae on our hands

We actually bought our Benchmarx kitchen through our fitter who had an account with them. I believe the amount of discount they give is kinda dependant on how much the fitter buys from them, if they are a regular customer the discount will be greater. Although we used our fitters account, Benchmarx came out and measured up and designed the kitchen for us, and we paid them directly. Gotta say, they were really patient with us as they must have done about 8 designs before I was happy with the layout!
I would recommend getting a really good fitter if you can, mine was fantastic and although my kitchen was a cheaper end range, it looks a million dollars! Be prepared to shop around for appliances as you can get some good deals online.0
