Paying Initial Rental fees with a CC

Hi All,

Due to circumstances beyond my control, I've kinda been forced to find somewhere to live without having had the time to plan or save for a deposit and the other fees.

There's a £100 reference/reservation fee for each person (only me, so £100) once I've decided to take the property, and then the deposit & rent on day I move in and a £200 'Admin Fee'.

I was wondering if any of these could be paid using a credit card to help reduce the initial load on my bank account? I have rented before a few years ago, but as a student, and privately, not through an agency, so it was mostly cash/standing orders. This is through an estate agent.

Monthly going forward, the rent is well within my means to pay, but it's just the initial barrage of fees that I'll struggle to pay in one go.

Thanks
Despite my name, I'm not a student any more

You'll have to ask the EA. None of us will be able to tell you whether they have a CC facility or not.

Most agents I've rented from will let you use a credit card, but they generally charge an extra percentage on top.
