There load system is down for some reason, see below:
Card Services
Important Notice:
Dear Freedom Customer,
As you may be aware we have been unable to load payments onto cards continuously since Tuesday 11th December 2012.
This critical service issue is a direct result of the Card Issuer ‘Transact Network Limited’ taking action to withdraw loading services for the
Freedom Prepaid MasterCard.
The entire Freedom Team has been working to try and resolve this situation for the last 10 days without success.
We are aware that many of you need urgent access to pending funds and to be able to load money onto your card. Unfortunately this
issue is now completely out of our control, however it has been escalated to both MasterCard and the Financial Services Commission.
Your funds are safe and are held within a NatWest account, controlled by the Card Issuer ‘Transact Network Limited’.
Due to the high volume of calls and emails we apologise if there is a delay in replying to you. We would suggest that you also copy in
the following people when contacting us to ensure you receive the quickest reply:

and issues this may be causing you.

I've had one of these cards for over a year and after a couple months of opening the account they changed the payment details and almost years worth of payments onto the card seemingly disappeared but took a couple months to trace and get placed back onto my account.
Now this load issue.
Very strange...0 -

I have used one of these cards since June 2011 and apart from some companies not accepting them had no real problems until I paid £70 onto my card on the 10th of December 2012 at my local post office. This amount eventually appeared on my card on othe 10th of January 2013 as there was only a small amount of money on my card it was unusable all over the xmas period and my £70 was held in Limbo as a low paid pensioner this was catastrophic for me. I had ordered food for my animals and myself online from Asda and I had sent small amounts to charities I support all were returned unpaid. I have sent emails to Freedom Transact and FSC and I have tried to phone Freedom, they have changed the contact number to that of Transact on their website I get fobbed off from them when I ask if I can now safely load money onto my card they tell me to contact Freedom I have tried and after answering all the relevant security questions I get cut off as if the number does not exist. I would like to claim compensation of some kind and know what is now happening it would seem it only affected people like me who cannot afford to keep money om the card all the time. does anyone know whats is happening the site message has not been updated since December and I have not had an answer to my emails since then either0
