I only passed my test this year and my tax disc runs out on 31/12/12. When will I get my V11 reminded for the tax disc? only i havent had anything yet.

Is the V5C registration document for the vehicle in your name and at your address?

If it is, it will normally arrive two to three weeks before the expiry date. Mine runs out end of December and the reminder turned up last week.

You can tax it without the reminder if it doesn't arrive. It can be done online, or at the PO, with the V5C and (at the PO) with the accompanying docs, such as MOT cert and Insurance Certificate.

It isn't obligatory for them to send you a reminder, so remind yourself and tax it before it is due, I believe you can retax it after the fifth day of the month it is due to expire in.

Tax it online now, Save yourself the hassle of trying to get it when everywhere is shut and they are delivering all the late/forgotten xmas cards.
