QQ suspicious Direct Debit

New here so hope im in right place anyone offer advice on where to go next.
Recently took out payday loan with QQ £200 with £40 to pay on top £20 after 1st month £220 after second month. First went fine until near end of second month, New DD appeared on my online banking from 'unknown frequency' for £20 i thought this could be QQ but as its my first PDL i cancelled the DD for caution and contacted QQ asking to pay over phone but was told i couldn't do this as the DD had not been returned unpaid to them yet and i was to wait a few more days to be contacted.
After a few days received email telling me that my account now in default and there was £12 charge added to account !!!!!!! i emailed to explain situation and that i would not accept charge to which i received a reply to say that the charge was because the actual fault was i had supplied different address on DD mandate form to one my bank held for me again i replied to tell them as the first DD had gone through this was wrong and that again i would not accept charge and to contact me when they would like to take the £220. I received nothing after this for over a week instead they started repeatedly phoning my home phone during my working hours and were told everytime to contact me after 5:30pm which they did not do instead opting today to call my employer to obviously embarrass me into paying i cannot take personal calls at work so sent them an email from my desk to tell them they do not have right to contact my employer and then received a return email offering me a payment plan and to accept it to stop it going to debt collection at this point i returned back a strongly worded email stating the facts and that i did not require or want a payment plan just to pay what was rightfully owed which is all i wanted from the start and that if they did not contact me by telephone after 5:30pm i would be making an official complaint against them for their behavior.
Surprise surprise today at 5:40pm they contacted but only to tell me they would not drop the charge and to pay now to avoid debt collection proceedings to which i told them that i would pay the £220 and that i would continue with making my complaint and they would have to start proceedings for the charge as it was not warranted. I asked them for their account details so i could go to a bank to make the payment as i did not trust giving out my bank details to them again to which i was told no it has to be debit or credit card or nothing. Are they allowed to do this? Is there anything i can do? any help would be much appreciated. Some people might say just pay the charge but i don't see why its their fault and the way they have behaved is appalling and as its xmas have better ways to spend that £12.

I've tried reading it but my heart rate kept increasing and increasing and it keeps going and going faster and faster and I can't take it in because its going at a speed I can't control and then I try to start again but find my brain going into meltdown as it gets harder and harder to take in then some different times and amounts thrown in and the confusion gets higher and my heart beats faster and faster.
Then I gave up.

Brief summary:-
OP took out a payday loan; £200 with £40 charges - £20 after 1st month, £220 after second month.
First £20 taken by DD, OP then cancels DD "for caution".
OP then tries to pay the £220 over phone (presumably by card) PDL says they can't do that until the DD comes back unpaid.
OP then objects to the fact that there is a £12 charge for the unpaid DD. An argument ensues; OP refuses an offer of a payment plan etc.
I'd guess that OP phoned up PDL on the day the payment was due to make alternative payment without appreciating the fact that the DD request was already in motion, that it was guaranteed to fail (because they'd cancelled it), and therefore that they'd already incurred a charge for the unpaid DD irrespective of what happened afterwards.0 -

So you took out a PDL where the payment method was by DD. A new DD then appears on your account, you think it might be the PDL company, but you're not sure so cancel it...then you phone the PDL company who verify it was them
I wished you had phoned them first before cancelling the DD all this could have been avoided. It was your decision to cancel the DD, and the DD is processed a few days prior to the payment due date, therefore waiting for a few days for it to be returned would have incurred charges for non/late payment. I know you feel that it is an injustice but pay it and be done with them before it turns into something nasty.
Also, there are lots of payday loan threads started on this board, but I have never seen QQ mentioned so not sure whether they are the best or the worst of a bad bunch, end this now by paying and forgo the 'Dates/Figs/Sugared almonds (insert Christmas food you feel compelled to buy that no-one ever eats, because they actually don't like it) that no-one is going to eat.Debt-Free day 30th September 20140 -

Quid quick is a nasty payday loan company. I never trust QQ at all related to helping people with debt problems.
The Op says that their is a unknown payment it might be QQ due to their actions for late payment charges. if you are in Finance differcults my advice is to email to QQ and its your right too under cosumer credit argeement act.
the lender can act together with the op, if that fails you have the right to email to them with a complaint about it. give them 6 weeks. You can appeal them under the rights of FSO
if their cannot help you, their is a ogransation called FSO.

QQ... Ahhhh Quick Quid. Technically the OP had a debt problem when they applied for a PDL, then a further problem when the DD was cancelled. The OP said they thought the new DD was QQ but cancelled it before confirming with QQ.
Why protract the issue, the money spent on phone calls, and recorded delivery letters to sort this out will add further to the cost.

Everyone who takes out a payday loan is arguably having financial difficulties. If they weren't they wouldn't take out a loan with an APR of over 800%.
But that's not the issue. The issue is that the OP cancelled the Direct Debit that had been set up to repay the loan. The Direct Debit was rejected and the OP incurred a £12 fee. This is set out in QuickQuid's Rates and Terms:QuickQuid payday loans only require a flat finance charge when you pay by your due date. Customers that pay late do incur a default fee of £12...
I'd guess that when the OP took out the loan they chose to repay it by Direct Debit, so it shouldn't have come as a surprise to them when it was set up on their bank account.0 -

Part of the problem is you should have been on top of this and left it for a week as per the bit in bold.
Summary/my view, you broke the agreement when you cancelled the DD so pay the £12, should have read the agreement.
Yes they are allowed to do it.

Well you and QQ are going to be good friends with that attitude. From what you said QQ have done no wrong, its all your fault. btw what has xmas got to do with anything, does xmas mean companies should give leniency, I think not.
What was the reason for going to QQ are you in financial difficulty ?
Maybe complete and soa and post on the dfw board0
