I had this too, now using Moon+ reader. Aldiko didn't work as well for me. You have to make sure the books are in the same directory on the versus as the app itself, but even doing this Kindle app refused to recognise and just opened blank.
Otherwise thrilled with the Versus - also got a Kindle fire at Christmas which I use far less. Ebooks are better on the Kindle (even better on the old e-ink kindle unless they have colour illustrations) but everything else is better on the Versus. HTH
