I am looking for some advice on what printer to get. I am looking for a colour printer that can take A3 paper. I will be using it mainly for printing tables and graphs so it doesn't have to be a photo printer. it would also be handy if it could be networked.
Anybody got any experiance or ideas?
PS sorry forgot to say that the budget is sub £200

A recent labs test in Computer Shopper Magazine might interest you.
Go here https://www.compshopper.co.uk then look at the left hand menu and select "Labs" and the article should be the second one down in the middle column.Lack of money is the root of all evil.

The epson (think its) 1400 A3 printer is now £199 till the end of the month with your old printer, which is £100 off. Go to the epson site

I use an Epsom Stylus PHOTO 1290 and am pretty happy with it. It runs well enough on cheap compatible cartridges.

I'd have to agree. I've dealt with lots of printers in my time, but for quality versus price - the Epsons are the best. They print the most on a single cartridge out of all consumer printers, and the inks usually last longer even under sunlit conditions.
Steer clear of Lexmark.Throwing acid is bad.... in some peoples eyes...0 -
Ive been using an HP Deskjet 1120c for years now without problems. since I bought the colour laser it hasnt been used as much but it still gets used for A3 prints. Loads of my customs use 1220's and 1280's to print window posters and offers they are available for about £170. They can be networked by adding a printserver.0

Units tend to die after a couple though (or at least, the Stylus C86 do). Has put me off Epson for life.0
