DVD seller disappears

Bought a DVD from this seller, who is still TRS.

DVD was marked despatched a week ago and not arrived, no reply to messages. Amazingly given all the negs Ebay are making me wait another two days to open a claim, presumably TRS protection.

They really should have something that picks up on unusual short term seller patterns.

  • If my suspicions are correct (judging by the the build up to the scam and titles sold at those prices) this person has been doing this for several years and stealing tens of thousands, or likely over a hundred grand from buyers/eBay.

    It's a real disgrace on eBay's part.

This was discussed on here before. We assumed he may have died.

Alive, and living very well I would imagine. I won't go into detail in-case it gives people ideas but it's very obviously ascam if you know the tell-tale signs.

Thanks, I'm not worried about waiting, it was only a small amount. Interesting that Ebay aren't quicker at finding out there's a problem.

The initial latest estimate for delivery was Dec 13th, when I went to open the case the message pretty much says "don't worry, leave it until the 15th". Which, under the circumstances, is pretty appalling.

If you've got a criminal mind it is fairly easy to pull off.

I'd hope that the police do eventually get involved, if not right now. At this stage only Ebay/Paypal can involve the police. I'd look an idiot reporting it at any stage, I've paid by Paypal so I'll get my money back and I'm not really a victim.

It is odd that Ebay don't have some kind of mechanism to spot it. As a buyer there aren't any signs but for Ebay it should be fairly easy to spot.

Read the feedback. The great British public's answer is death or incarceration for this major criminal. For a tenner which they will get back.
