It has taken me 6 months so far with Lloyds TSB and I have just received my court information through the post.
Lloyds initially sent me a letter stating the charges were actually services and stating that I was paying for everything because I had agreed to. Lloyds ignored the rest of my letters probably hoping that I would go away.
If it is in excess of 6000 that Lloyds owe and they are not communicating with you, I would suggest using the letter templates stated in Martins Article on Bank Charges. This gives them clear instructions on your requests and the consequences of what will happen if they are ignored.
On the + side if they are taking a long time, you can look at it as a £6000 investment. As Interest is charged at 8% per annum up to the settlement date there will be a nice load of interest accruing over the period. And lets face it you can't get an 8% lump sum savings account anywhere at the moment.
