Why can I smell next door smoking in my house?!
Comments

This is the first time I have noticed any smell of smoke since I have lived here. They moved in a couple of months ago and it was 'renovated'
I might have to bite the bullet and just ask outright if they have made any recent changes and explain I can suddenly smell them smoking!
I will go armed with a christmas card...season of good will and all that

We had the same problem in my old victorian house (and a flat years ago). In the house, the smell used to come up through the wooden floorboards and we never really found a solution to it. I smoke myself, but never indoors, can't stand the smell of stale smoke so can understand how unpleasant it is. Might be worth speaking to their LA or Landlord, the tenancy agreements I've had in the past have all had a clause to say that I couldn't smoke in the house (though I'm sure they may well just smoke anyway!).
It's a tough one!0 -
Chimney breasts perhaps?Pants0

Well, I spoke to them and they said they don't smoke!? Even though I have saw them with my own eyes!!
I have put clear silicone around all edges of the skirting board and stuck some beading down.....there has been no smell for a few days now :j
Don't know if it's my handy work or if they have ed smoking somewhere else or done something their side!?
It is not on the chimney breast side of either house....whatever it was, it seems to have stopped!! :T:happyhear We are not put on this earth for ourselves, but are placed here for each other.
