'Start' is bottom left, just where it always was. Just that it's hidden and goes full screen. Bit adverse to change.

To start services.msc directly, go to the Metro Start Screen and type services or services.msc

You know before you upgraded, did you check that the wireless adaptor is compatible with windows 8?

If I were you I'd go back to 7.

The standard version is in the control panel which you can access by right clicking at the bottom left of the desktop mode or by typing 'control' when in the touch mode with the tiles up.

Oh - that's an improvement over it being an option off the Start menu then.

When you go to the bottom left corner you get a tiny image of the home page, but when you go to the bottom right corner you get a huge panel that shifts onto the page with humongous writing.

That's a bit inconsistent.

If you need to press Fn+F2 to turn the wireless on then upgrading the Wireless driver isn't going to help.

Do Medion offer a hotkeys driver for download anywhere? Try the version for Windows 7 if need be. That's what I had to do with my Clevo laptop.
