I have had some issues with Ebuyer over the years and I decided to make a video one day when I was expecting a delivery. The stuff never arrived and I posted the video on youtube. It's been a few months now but I got a call this morning from the operations director at Ebuyer who has offered me an access all areas invite for this Friday. I will be traveling up from London to Yorkshire where they are based and interviewing people at Ebuyer and I will be shown around the place. I will be filming the whole thing to go on my youtube account.
I want to hear from anyone who has had any bad experiences over the last 12 months with Ebuyer and any questions anyone might want to ask. Please quote your name if you would like that included in the video. As I am going up this Friday morning, please submit all questions by Thursday Evening 26th April 2007.
Cheers,
Kwai Chi

I didn't realise I would need permission! I have been told that I will also be meeting Citylink too while I am there. I'm sure plenty of people have had bad experiences with them. I think this is a great opportunity to see the other side of the fence. It would be a shame to waste it.Kwai Chi

I have spend around £20k with ebuyer since 2002, i have never had a problem with delivery from citylink and never had anything damaged, the main problems ive experienced are:
1. motherboards DOA or missing i/o sheilds and manuals some looked like they were seconds- ebuyer have always replaced items quickly.
2. The cheaper case's power supplies have blown after a few months - but what did i expect for £12 case?
3. There own brand memory is rubbish.
I used them to build and upgrade peoples pc's to earn a crust whilst i was at uni i dont use them very much now, so i cannot comment on problems from them in the last year or so as i have only spend around £500 in the last 6 - 12 months.0 -
I have a friend who used to order from from ebuyer (I usually use dabs), he has delivery problems with citilink all the time, such as not turning up, going to the wrong address, and saying he's been carded when he is actually in. If he complains about delivery or any other problem through the the help system, it could take over a week to get a response and sometimes he wouldn't get one at all.0

Kwaichi, the site is owned by Martin Lewis who is a journalist. If you are making a video it is only proper you make sure he/ his company is happy for you to use the site in this way. Its generally not a big deal as I've seen other requests on threads in some of the other forums. Its also polite to ask first.
Why not PM one of the mods or MSEstaff listed in whosonline. From MSE Martin - Some General Tips On Holiday Home Organisations and Sales Meetings

I think you have done it in a friendly way by starting a tread about ebuyer problems in a section of this forum designed for that, rather than simply request private emails. You probably would need permission as every thing written here becomes copyright of the forum owner and then when you want to use it in your video could be barred from doing so if you haven't got an ok first. If the video is not for profit on you behalf and if I was the forum owner I wouldn't have a problem as this is a consumer forum and taking problems direct to the company sounds a great BBC Watchdog style thing.0
