Is this as dodgy as I think it is?

Came across this listing for a Wii and 15 games.
Now apart from the fact that it is really cheap - the games alone would have an RRP of £600 ish and many are not even available yet - he wants payment by bank transfer (or cash on collection!?) and the sellers' feedback is interesting.
At first glance, the first page or so looks quite good - page 3 onwards however is full of feedback from 0 feedback NARU'd users. If you look into some the feedback on the first page it gets more interesting, as lots of them also seem to have received feedback from a seller of iPods who is now plastered with negative feedback for fraud, and also all to have left feedback for the same seller of mobile phones as well as the Wii seller. Hijacked accounts? Rather odd anyway!
I've reported it and had the standard robot response. What are the ethics / practicalities of contacting people who have already bought these? He's also selling other bundles and PS3s.
If its not dodgy, bargain of the century!

VERY DODGY.
All the not NARU'd buyers of the mobile unit have bought from the same two sellers only. Seller one now neg'd to death, watch out for seller two & original wii seller to go the same way!!
Well spotted. E-bay will probably do nothing at all:mad:Thanks to all who post comps :A :T0 -
As we speak, eBay are probably falling over themselves in their rush to be as useless as possible.....

Cynic, me?
I have to say the quality of the dodgy listings is getting better - this one even survives the 'glance at the feedback test'. Though the cheap price for a hot item should be a huge warning - but not for the buyers he has 'sold' 9 Wiis to on another of his auctions :eek:0 -
looks legit to me why dont u do cash on collection take a few mates with bats just to be sure.0

I read about something like that somewhere, maybe on this board.
A seller ripped some guy off and wouldn't give his money back; just happened that soon after the buyer was nearby partaking in a rugby tournament (or similar)!

In the old days when you went NARU (for whatever reason), all FB you left went neutral.
Clearly that was silly, but in this case all his fake FB should be removed*.
* I know it won't, as that would mean eBay doing something.Toyota - 'Always a better way', avoid buying Toyota.0 -

I've been registered since 1999 and was not aware that feedback ever went neutral when someone went NARU. Did it matter whether they de registered themselves or were NARU'd by ebay?I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I had thought it was for whatever reason, but in most cases people are just going to stop using their account rather than specifically ask ebay to close an account; however this suggests it was just those permanently suspended.Toyota - 'Always a better way', avoid buying Toyota.0
