Large housewarmer jar in Red Apple Wreath scent at £12 from very.co.uk.
Anyhow I like shopping there as I can spread the cost over 3 months with no interest. So it may be helpful to others if you are a bit skinto.

Omg these candles are making my walls and ceilings so black! I've used them for years with no problems. Have the ingredients perhaps changed? What a mess! And yes I do have a trimmertravelover0

my mum had a terrible black soot mark up her wall from Yankee's even tho' she always used the wick trimmer AND their shades or Illumalid and she had to have it all redecorated. I've noticed we seem to have black patched too and again, I trim and use a lid so I've stopped burning them and started melting them under the candle lamps - seem to be a slightly stronger smell that way too.0 -
Yes I also used shades. Need to get it all repainted, not a happy bunny!travelover0

my mum's the same but her lounge is all open plan so had to paint up the stairs and landing as well, which is not good for a pensioner. Really think YC have gone down hill over the years0 -

My FIL has had the same issue and also uses the trimmer, last thing he needs as my MIL passed away recently. Strangely though we haven't had an issue so I thought it was due to the small size of his room and lack of fresh air.If you find you are drinking too much give this number a call. 0845 769 75550 -
