Northern rock loan over £25,000

Oh, let's go to court and battle it out! This is my firm of lawyers and you can have this one only. Just doesn't ring well does it?0

Problem is two-fold NRV:
1) You'd be well to remember that McAdam & Hartley actually won the case in the high court initially
2) NRAM/ UKAR while miserably arrogant in their approach would not, I doubt, risk having this overturned on something so profound as a conflict of interest and surely the administrate processes within the judicial system (if not the judges themselves) would have asked this same question
I backed off the forum a while back, but not until after trying to get various things organised. Can anyone answer me as to why we (as NRAM "victims") have never gotten organised in 8 years?0 -

You may well be correct, but sometimes in life the big picture is overlooked in amongst the distraction of several less significant issues. How can we find out?0 -
Via your MP or an investigative journalist I suspect. The question posed in an earlier post seemed about right to me, though I'd want to know also:
- true motivation of McAdam/ Hartley (are they genuinely aggrieved or just a willing/ unwilling front for NRAM to use in as a test case)
- if they truly have a grievance with NRAM as lender, you can bet your life they have union backing to protect their employment rights (I suspect the union will be very well informed on the ins and outs of practices at NRAM) - possible route to expose
- if they are just a front, then the whole thing is a shambles and will get exposed
I live in SNP land, and they (as we all know) will be happy to ruffle a few feathers among the economic and political elite, so I'll be taking up with my MP. If there are others out there based in Scotland and whose MPs might lend a sympathetic ear, get in touch. We could perhaps compare notes. That said, I'm off on my hols so won't be posting for a couple of weeks.0 -
Enjoy your hols CSC1
You're a very logical person, I hope that we will have made some progress by the time you get back.0 -
Just to put things into perspective, I saw a photograph of McAdam once standing next to his helicopter. It wasn't from a toy shop, i therefore get the impression that he isnt in the same situation as us. My son has a helicopter, but his has a broken propeller and is in his toy box ! McAdams was a similar size to my house !0

Ahh, now that's the kind of stuff that the media thrives on. Let's keep going everyone, I know it's tough but if we can prove that McAdam was just a front playing lip service for the Directors and did not choose his own firm of lawyers and barristers then they'll all be in very hot water.0 -
I would love to see McAdam and the crooked Directors explaining their actions on Watchdog, they would all wilt away with embarrassment. If we push hard enough it will happen. A wealthy 'employee' representing a state owned company (so virtually a civil servant) and not even choosing his own legal team. He should now be pushing for Supreme Court if his intentions were honourable, agreed?0

Does his profile suggest a person who is unable to clear his unsecured loan? OH C'mon he's a millionaire, I know a lot about helicopter costs and believe me you can't own or even fly one unless you are very wealthy! I never have disrespect for self made wealth, BUT this character is seriously taking the Mickey out of us!0
