Shall I get a solicitor?

I have been in the process of reclaiming my bank charges from Lloyds for over 6 months now.
The process started with the request for charges statements for the past 6 years which highlighted the fact I was owed £550 plus interest.
I sent the first letter asking for my money back and they sent the standard template stating "These are services and not charges."
I then sent the second which they ignored, and the third 30 days later which they ignored.
I then filed a court claim against them totalling 780 including interest.
The next day I received a letter form Lloyds saying that they had explained that these charges are for services however on this occasion they will pay back everything ecluding interest within the next 10 days. Apparently it isn't in their policy to pay interest.
Needless to say I heard nothing else from them and they haven't repaid anything.
They acknowledged the claim after 13 days (1 day before deadline) and have since stated that they will defend all charges claimed. The case has been transferred to a county court near my home address and am awaiting a date confirmation. The question is as it has come much further than expected "Do I get a solicitor to help me from now on in?"
