Cursor Froze...HELP NEEDED PLEASE....

As above, since my cat who adopted us sat on my NotePad, he sent an email, letters inc QQQQQQQQQQQQ's and XXXXXXXXXXXXX and ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ's
my cursor has froze and not able to go on the internet at all.
I would really appreciate it if someone could help in restoring my NotePad.

Make, model and operating system would be useful.

I assume that you have tried shutting down completely and rebooting ?

Hi,

are you using touchpad or external mouse?

If touchpad it could be switched off, usually one of the F keys, F10 on my Samsung.

Dispossessed, yes i have tried shutting down and on again. The make is Packard Bell, Model, PAV80 and Windows xp.

Frugalmacdugal, it is a touchpad, so i am going to switch it on and try and press F10.

I have tried pressing F10 and nothing is happening!!! Tried all the F's and still nothing.

Hi,

you need to press the Fn key (bottom left hand corner) at same time, think it might be F6 key for PB, you could try a usb mouse.
