in Credit cards
At the moment I have the following:
1) Tesco Credit Card
2) Barclaycard
3) Halifax - Current, ISA and Savings account
4) Alliance & Leicester Premier Direct Current account
I mainly use the Tesco Credit Card rather than the Barclaycard.
What is the recommended amount of credit cards and current accounts to have?

There is no set recommended number - it depends what you want and what your situation is. For example, if you are debt free and aren't interested in stoozing, then you might do fine with just a single cashback credit card. If however you want to stooze, get cashback, and travel abroad a lot, then you might want a good few more than that, so that you are using the best card for all those different situations!
As for current accounts, then just one with a high interest rate might be perfect for you. However you require a linked current account for various regular savers, along with (for example) the A&L high rate ISA. Or you might want a Nationwide debit card for non-loaded/zero commission withdrawals from ATMs abroad, so might want a Nationwide current account on the side. It really does depend on what your focus is, and what is important for your particular financial situation!
If you can give a few more details, then I'm sure that there are plenty of people on the board who will be able to give opinions on whether the credit cards/current accounts are right for you, and whether you would benefit from more or fewer.0 -
Great advice.
