  • The expensive part is the candymelts choc coverings that give cakepops a nice firm outer. Normal chocolate just doesn't work the same and is harder to colour and doesn't set hard[/QUOTE]

I used melted Dairy Milk (£2 for a 350g bar in Morrisons) and it set really well. Morrisons also stock strawberry chocolate buttons similar to candy melts which are 99p and in the baking section.

Looks fun! Anyone know where to buy the sticks for cake pops?

Robert Dyas sell them, I think they're £1.49 a pack. Will check tomorrow as I work there.

I picked up one from home bargains. The machine is fushia pink (perfect for me) and comes with 2 packs of lolly sticks (short & Long) and a cake pop stand.

The one from home bargains is also twice the size as it cooks 12 pops at a time. I have taken my pop maker back to currys as the home bargains one was way better and its £12
