Sorry for not being on her for a while guys.
First of all, to the people saying, if I can get a loan, why can't I just save up. Well, the reason being is that I want the braces sooner rather than later. Saving up would take me a while and I am really feeling down about my teeth.
I am not going down this route however, I read the comments about some dentists being lenient about payment plans so I emailed my dentist, explained to him my situation and he told me to come in and have a chat with about it, so *fingers crossed* I'll be able to get them. I think they'll just be happy to get the money, whatever way it is! Thanks for the suggestions.0 -
Lalaland I am so pleased! I felt terrible about my teeth (massive gap at the front) until I was 21 and had them done. It really does make a difference, even though it might seem a small thing to other people it can affect your self confidence and belief in yourself.
What I would say though is I got my teeth done then I started worrying about all the other things that weren't perfect! (Fat !!!! mainly).0 -
Have you examined out whether there is anyway you could get it done on the NHS? I ask because just before I was 18 I went on the patiently waiting record (in the times when it price a large for orthodontics, but they were no price before 18) but was informed because of the duration of the patiently waiting record and my age once my name had come up I would have to pay for it. So I stored up the large, and five times before I was due to go in independently (I was 21 at the time) I got a page to say my name had come up and I could get them done for no price. It's created the greatest distinction to my lifestyle. I wonder if your GP might even be able to help if you say it's really psychologically impacting you? I just never desired to discuss or grin when I had bad tooth, and the knock-on impact on your assurance is large and quite spirit ruining.0
