you pop the bag in the inner container, fold it over the side, twist the remains tight and tuck it under itself, then drop the container in the bin casing. Voila, no messy overhang.

Please please come and teach DH that. I've been trying for years

Kitchen Rolls - must be Bounty - they don't disintegrate.
    Eggs - must be organic
Chickens - must be organic/free range and sourced locally.

Well, again, not to deliberately sound funny.... but the reason other bin liners most likely don't fit brabantia bins is that brabantia make their bins deliberately a bit differently sized so people will buy their liners.

Funny bit is I sell the bins, and the liners where I work.

When I bought my bin here I paid $20 (about 8 quid), it's stainless steel, like the brabantia, yet it's also sized to take free carrier bags. And there's a lil twist and tuck trick to hid the tops of bin bags I learned whilst working in housekeeping.... you pop the bag in the inner container, fold it over the side, twist the remains tight and tuck it under itself, then drop the container in the bin casing. Voila, no messy overhang.

Mine is the big 50l brabantia bin, free carrier bags would never fit it.
Only Brabantia make bags long enough (there might be copies, but I've yet to find them)
Is yours one of the little peddle bins? It must be if you can use free carrier bags.

What does everyone use their kitchen roll for? If I spill something I used my microfibre dish cloth (which I clean every evening by putting it in the microwave with boiling water, bio powder and zapping for 3 minutes.

I do buy kitchen roll, Wilkinsons 49p for 2 pack. This is just used for wiping hands at the kitchen table and they last me for ever.

Wilkinsons sell a copy of Brabantia bin bags, I think I paid £1.29 for the 30 Litre size but I can't remember exactly. Definitely cheaper though.

As some of you may already know, I'm a native Italian although I have lived in the UK for many years now.

I have kept to good Italian culinary tradition, and I can assure you that you can have a top quality nutritious meal at no great expense. I also know that British food, home cooked with good ingredients, is as nutritious and delicious as any.

Anyway, about xtra virgin olive oil - this is the best for cooking and salad dressing because it contains large quantities of Omega 9 fats - not essential like Omega 3 or 6, but still very valuable to the body and, most important, well stable at high temperatures - hence its suitability for frying.

However, it's never advisable to buy the cheapest oil you can find, because you may get not just the dregs but also extraneous elements in it.

Also, the quicker the cooking of any foods, the more nutrients will be available to the body - except of course meat, which nowadays ought to be well cooked.

Steamed vegetables are best, or if you boil them, make use of the remaining water for soups. By the way pinach water will brighten up black garments (or so my mun told me once).

Basically, we tend to eat far more than we need - it's surprising how little food one needs to maintain peak condition, PROVIDED all the necessary nutrients are present in the diet.

Also, try to eat as much raw foods as possible: salads, fruit, nuts.

There is a lot we can do to eat well without spending a fortune, and this board is a veritable treasure trove for that.

    :)
