So that in a week's time they can shout loud and clear that they're taking 1p off too :rotfl: :rotfl:

Maybe the oil price or local costs went up slightly?

My local Tesco is 132.9, other local garages 130.9 and 131.9. They just seem to be relying on people not being bothered to go elsewhere when they've done a big shop.

It might drop once the latest 5p off deal ends.

Yet another "supermarkets cut fuel prices" thread on MSE.

Strangely enough even after all of these cuts and fuel duty freezes, fuel costs keep rising year on year.

  • So there are two Tesco's in the town that I live - about a five minute drive between them.

One is a fairly new Tesco Extra, and the other is a regular Tesco - both having Petrol Stations.

Was surprised to find that the Tesco Extra is charging 142.9 for Diesel, whilst the other is charging 141.9. Both accepting and issuing 5p vouchers.
