Anyone else had a strange email saying that they are sorry but you can't cancel the order as it's being desptached, despite not asking to cancel?

I suspect they are not sending me the free gift.

Yep, I had that one, but it does say they are sending me the gift at a price of 0.00 very odd!

Eta looking at the email again, it lists the free gift, but the quantity is shown as zero. I didn't request a cancellation, but wish they had just cancelled order, rather than send out a bar of soap with no free gift

I ordered the soap to get the free gift - which was all in stock when I ordered. Yesterday, I too, received this strange e-mail considering the fact that I did not cancel my order:

"Thanks for your request. Unfortunately it has not been possible to cancel your item(s) as it is being prepared for dispatch.

Quantity Title Price
0 L'Occitane Verbena Duo (In Basket) (FreeGift) GBP 0.00
Once your order has arrived, if you no longer require it please refer to our returns policy on the website, at: http://www.hqhair.com/. We will issue you with a refund upon receipt of your returned item.

We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause."

Then, later last night, I got this e-mail from them:

"We're sorry that your order for the product(s) below has not yet been sent.

L'Occitane Verbena Soap 100g

We're sorry this has happened. We're continuously looking for ways to improve the service we offer to you and we really hope you'll give us a chance to do better next time"

I have logged into my account and it states that my order is still in the 'processing' stage with them still 'awaiting stock' for the soap and 'awaiting despatch' for the free gift. Don't know if I will see my order this side of Christmas....
