Bootsales: Region to Region

It is that time of year again and some members here are old hats and a few of us are newbies to the world of "booting"

I try and take a varied selection of items to sell and so far have sold mostly boys clothing that I had and a few items for cars i.e spray cleaners, car speakers, tweeter box, gear knob and hand brake covers, pedal sets etc [ these were items left over from a friends business when he closed up shop]

Once I get spring cleaning and sorting through the house I will have an assortment of other items to take to offer over the summer months but .....

just wondered what you others were selling the most of and if it varied depending where in the Country you are selling?

today on our boot sale somebody had paid for a pitch but had asked for a perimeter area. No car or table they just had A4 posters hanging on the perimeter wire displaying items for sale i.e jacket, caravan, bike, seasonal jobs on offer and three houses in Bulgaria, one for £8000, one for £10000 and one for £12000 all ads were quoting local phone number and mobile no for contact. there was a sign saying all adds were charged at £1 each for the day

Is this something new or is it happening in your areas ?

I go to this place regularly [ it's not in Norfolk. it is in Cambs] and hadnt seen it before.

I'm in Dumfries (South-West Scotland), and at the last car boot sale I did, I sold a variety of stuff but mostly ornaments and cheap paperbacks.

I am out of action this week with a badly sprained arm but quite relieved
as despite it supposed to be a hot weekend it has turned very cold here in Norfolk.

im selling phone covers/housing ,. around the cannock boots,. aint see them type of adverts but,. some booters are giving out biz cards with their web-sites on it,. but i guess thats just going with the times,
