Making a claim - Home Contents v Bank Gadget Cover

Hi all,
Had a terrible night last night when I came home to find we had been broken into. They took my MacBook Pro, iPad 2 and PS Vita. It looked like a smash and grab.
Now my question, do I claim under home contents for everything or should I claim for just the MacBook Pro and claim for the other two under my banks gadget insurance?
If I claim under my home contents it will be £100 excess or if I do the combination of the two then it will be £175 excess in total. Obviously my premiums would increase once I claim under home contents but I just don't know which way to proceed.
Please, any suggestions would be grateful.
Thanks,
Andy

Do quotes on the aggregator sites with dummy details but generally speaking the amount claimed makes very little difference to the impact in premiums.
Additionally to that is the fact that most gadget insurance is indemnity based rather than new for old and therefore you would only get the second hand value via them -v- new replacement value via your home insurance.0 -
It's likely that your home insurer will ask if you have any other policies covering any of the items. They could then either pay the whole claim and chase the gadget insurer for a contribution, or choose just to pay their proportion of the claim.0
