QVC post & package

On reading Martins consumer rights guide, I noticed you are entitled to P&P back if on line goods are returned within 7 days. QVC charge extortionate rates of P&P so I thought, great, I'll claim them back but in their terms and conditions it states that if you return as part of their 30 day money back guarantee they will take compensation which is usually the same as the P&P. Does anyone know if this is legal?

Did you pay to return the goods?0

Yes, you have to pay the return P&P0

then as long as you returned fulfilling the DSR regulations then you should be able to claim (had it been freepost return then it would be assumed that your original postage paid for the return whihc is why I asked the first question).0

Their 30 day guarentee is not part of your consumer rights, DSR is. If you properly cancel within 7 days under DSR then they will refund your initial postage but not your return postage.0

Not sure what DSR regulations are. If the condition that they take compensation is in their T&C's and I have accepted this am I still able to challenge it and claim my money back?0

did you specifically write to them (physical or electronic) to advise them you are returning the items under the DSR's prior to returning the item? Or did you merely pack it up and post it back?
You have to physically notify them why you are returning and under what terms in order to be able to claim postage charges back.0 -
Unfortunately not. I have just looked up DSR and now know what to do in the future.
I have just emailed QVC asking for a refund etc and will wait and see what they say, although I don't expect a result. Thanks for the help0 -
I notice you say in the future, be aware that people who return numerous items back to QVC, can end up on a black list and QVC bar them from buying from them.
I have seen a few threads over the internet of this happening.
I personally bought from them once, but as they removed my fair review of the product, I won't be buying from them again.0
