Camera help

I am wanting to do some self publishing through Kindle or similar, plus the possibility of producing the books in print and on a website (to advertise them) and I need a camera that will produce decent pictures for what I need without it costing heaps of money.

Everything I need for this particular project will be set up and taken indoors but I could also do with something that will be good for landscapes as well - the next project on from this may well involve the need for landscape photography.

I know that some people get away with using just a mobile phone but I don't know where to begin with that either and I'm not sure if indoor photography would be possible. (I realise I'm going to have to think about how to light indoor pictures properly as well.) My current mobile phone is the sort that costs £10.

My camera solution needs to be simple to use, produce good quality (enough) results and be as cheap as I can get away with. I do have a camera tripod which someone gave us some time back.

Can anyone help?

Many thanks
B x
