how to open a Polish-currency bank account in UK?

I'd like to open a Polish currency bank account at a UK-registered bank (regulated by FSA). Does anyone know if one exists?

I tried PKO's London branch but they only do GBP accounts. Google just reveals loads of FX sites for converting GBP to PLN and sending it to Poland, which is not what I want to do.
(This is nothing to do with sending money to Poland - I want a UK savings account in PLN.)

You can hardly get a Euro or USD account with an FSA-registered bank. The likelihood they'd do accounts in any other currency is therefore next to zero. Your only chance would be a UK subsidiary of a polish bank, if such a thing exists.
  • Why? Even if you can find one, there are likely to be onerous fees and conditions. Have you tried HSBC ( The worlds local bank )?

Doubt if there's huge demand. As not a currency many people trade in on a day to day basis.
  • The bank of Cyprus do a Euro current account.
  • Maybe the original poster is being tempted by better fixed deposit rates such as this one:

I have no idea what services they offer to private individuals but there is a branch of PKO Bank Polski on Shaftesbury Avenue in London.

There isn't one - the closest you get is PKO who facilitate Sterling/Euro transfers to their Zloty - denominated accounts. The situation may change if they switch to the Euro - slated for 2017.

Is 4.2% good because we dont know their inflation ?

Poland I have read is surprisingly robust economically and actually benefits from being outside the Euro.
With all these Polish people working in UK, wouldnt they be sending money back home to families depositing it here even
